Frequently asked questions

A short overview of how the connection works and what you need to start.

Do I need a public IP or port forwarding?
No. The on-site agent makes an outbound connection to the edge node, so no inbound ports or static address are needed. It works behind CGNAT too.
Which cameras and recorders are supported?
Almost any IP camera or NVR that supports RTSP or ONVIF. If the device works with the vendor app, it can most likely be connected.
Is video stored on the relay?
No. The relay routes the encrypted stream and stores no recordings. The archive stays on your recorder or the vendor cloud.
How secure is the traffic?
The connection runs inside TLS 1.3 / QUIC. Each site has its own keys; access can be revoked at any time without affecting other devices.
What happens if the site loses internet?
The agent reconnects automatically. The client sees a pause, but recording on the NVR continues.
Can several phones view at once?
Yes. Access is granted to individual users with different rights: viewing, archive, administration.
Is mobile internet on site supported?
Yes, if the link is stable. It is a common scenario for summer houses and remote sites; bitrate can be reduced to save traffic.
How long does setup take?
Usually 2–4 hours for a home and one day for a site with many cameras, excluding camera installation and cabling.
Do you sell equipment?
No, we are not a dealer. We help configure equipment bought from official sellers and advise what fits the task.
